Nothing More Important

On the Way of the Warrior, there is nothing more important than righteousness (gi). Righteousness is acting with courage. Courage is growing in righteousness.

Only the Path of Righteousness

Human knowledge and power are not something that can rival fate. For this reason, attributing fate to Heaven is called Heaven’s decree. Since it is Heaven’s decree, it’s enough if those who place trust in Heaven earnestly keep only to the path of righteousness. Honestly accepting life and death, fame and poverty each in turn, there will be nothing to suprise or frighten them.
